Besides family planning counselling, Istenhegyi Genetic Diagnostics Centre provides full-service researches into the different topics of gynaecology, biochemistry and genetics. Our team of internationally recognized professionals work in the foreground of the most up-to-date techniques and technologies. With the help of our laboratory constantly in use for the last ten years we are able to isolate not only viruses, germs and predispositions to several diseases, but unique genetic sequences, genetic mutations and chromosomal mutations as well.

Our new service: Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnostics (PGD)
PGD is recommended when parents are at risk of transmitting a known genetic condition to their future child that would severely impair the child's prospect or quality of life (=high-risk PGD). PGD is considered in cases of monogenic disorders (autosomal recessive, autosomal dominant or X-linked disorders) or the result of a balanced chromosomal translocation.
